Our Story

People’s Practice was born out of a movement studio in Tacoma — but it’s always been about more than just movement. We started by making merch for our community and quickly realized it resonated far beyond the reformer.
The name People’s Practice reflects two things we believe deeply: that growth happens through consistent practice, and that community is built by showing up for one another. It’s about the effort, the small steps, and the people you share them with.
We’re inspired by everyday moments, local roots, and the people who make ordinary life feel meaningful.
For the practice — because everyday effort is what makes the extraordinary.
Sustainability
We’re not interested in pretending a pair of grip socks can save the planet. We are interested in making more thoughtful choices wherever we can.
Our socks are designed to be worn, washed, and worn again—with materials chosen for comfort, durability, stretch, and grip that lasts.
Plastic-free packaging
No single-use plastic in our product packaging or shipping materials.
Compostable mailers
Online orders ship in paper-based, compostable packaging.
Keep them out of the landfill
When your People’s Practice socks are officially done doing their thing, send them back to us. We’ll recycle them through TerraCycle®.
We’re continuing to look for better materials, better packaging, and better ways to make the things we love with less waste.
